Political affairs/Donor co-ordination

The Political Affairs Unit of the OSCE Presence in Albania is responsible for advising the Head and Deputy Head of Presence on political developments within the country that are relevant for the implementation of the mandate of the Presence. The Unit maintains regular dialogue with government authorities and institutions, political parties, media representatives and civil society, and it acts as a focal point for international partners.

The Unit represents the Presence in the management of the Donor Technical Secretariat (DTS), which was established under the Donor Co-ordination Framework in December 2003. The DTS includes the World Bank, the European Commission and the United Nations Development Programme, each co-ordinating donor support in a specific area.
