National human rights institutions act as a bridge between civil society and the state, linking the responsibilities of states to the rights of citizens. Support for NHRIs in the OSCE region is at the core of OSCE/ODIHR's work. This video explains how ODIHR helps build their capacities and strengthen their independence.
