Švajcarski predsedavajući OEBS-a u poseti Zapadnom Balkanu

BERN, 23. april 2014. godine – Švajcarski ministar spoljnih poslova i predsedavajući OEBS-a, Didier Burkhalter posetiće 24. i 25. aprila 2014. godine, Beograd, Tiranu i Prištinu kako bi se sastao sa političkim liderima i razgovarao o angažovanju Švajcarske u regionu tokom predsedavanja OEBS-om.
Pomirenje i saradnja na Zapadnom Balkanu su među prioritetima švajcarskog predsedavanja OEBS-om što dopunjuje dugogodišnju posvećenost Švajcarske da unapredi mir u ovom delu sveta, istakao je Burkhalter uoči posete. Sa šest misija na terenu širom regiona, Zapadni Balkan prestavlja važno područje za OEBS-ove operacije, dodao je on.
Namera posete predsedavajućeg OEBS-a jeste da podrži tri tekuća procesa koje je Švajcarska identifikovala kao ključne za stabilnost Zapadnog Balkana. Oni uključuju normalizaciju odnosa, u skladu sa sporazumom postignutim pre godinu dana između Beograda i Prištine, jačanje napora za regionalnu saradnju i ohrabrivanje pomirenja u regionu naročito u pogledu rešavanja pitanja nestalih lica.
Srbija, koja će preuzeti predsedavanje OEBS-a sledeće godine, je prva u nizu Burkhalterovih poseta. Tamo će se sastati sa predsednikom Tomislavom Nikolićem i mandatarom za sastav nove vlade Aleksandrom Vučićem. Sastanak sa ministrom spoljnih poslova Srbije Ivanom Mrkićem je takođe predviđen.
U Tirani, Burkhalter će se sastati sa predsednikom Bujarom Nišanijem i ministrom spoljnih poslova Ditmirom Bušatijem, a nakon toga sastaće se sa mladim Albancima koji pohađaju časove građanskog vaspitanja koji su deo OEBS-ovog projekta.
Tokom posete Prištini, 25. aprila, on će se sastati sa predsednicom Atifete Jahjagom i premijerom Hašimom Tačijem. On će takođe razgovarati o ljudskim pravima sa mladima iz zajednica kosovskih Albanaca i kosovskih Srba.
