Un número sin precedentes de personas en busca de refugio han llegado y siguen llegando a muchos Estados participantes de la OSCE para escapar del peligro inmediato en Ucrania. Estas personas, en su mayoría mujeres y niños, pueden estar expuestas a la trata de personas con diversos fines, incluida la explotación sexual y laboral. Con el fin de apoyar a los gobiernos que ya están adoptando medidas efectivas para recibir y asistir a las personas que buscan refugio, el Representante Especial y Coordinador para la Lucha contra la Trata de Personas ha publicado una serie de recomendaciones, con recomendaciones sobre medidas inmediatas de prevención y respuestas a las necesidades más urgentes, así como medidas políticas para prevenir y mitigar las vulnerabilidades.
