OSCE Secretary General, in Kyiv, meets President, Foreign Minister of Ukraine

OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier visited Kyiv from 10 to 11 June 2013 where he met with President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara.

On 10 June Zannier spoke at the opening of a conference on strengthening the OSCE response to trafficking in human beings. The issue of trafficking in human beings is a priority of the Ukrainian OSCE Chairmanship and is a possible topic for the OSCE Ministerial Council that will take place in Kyiv at the end of the year. Other issues such as protracted conflicts, the way forward to Helsinki +40, energy security, arms control and Ukraine’s priorities in the human dimension area were also discussed during the visit.
