TURKPA Secretary General addresses OSCE participating States

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA), Ramil Hasanov, addressed representatives of the 56 OSCE participating states at a Permanent Council meeting in Vienna on 20 September 2012.

TURKPA, which aims to strengthen inter-parliamentary co-operation between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey – all also OSCE participating States, was established in 2008. Hasanov outlined the work of TURKPA and emphasized the potential for increased co-operation with between the two organizations. He highlighted the fact that TURKPA has already participated as a guest in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s annual and winter sessions.
