Presidential Election, October 2013
In anticipation of an official invitation to observe the presidential election in the Republic of Azerbaijan, scheduled for October 2013, based on the findings and conclusions of the Needs Assessment Mission deployed from 17-21 June 2013, and in accordance with its mandate, the OSCE/ODIHR is preparing to deploy an Election Observation Mission for this election.
Parliamentary Elections, 7 November 2010
Following an invitation from the Azerbaijan's Permanent Mission to the OSCE, and based on the findings and conclusions of ODIHR's needs assessment mission, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 19 September to observe the parliamentary elections on 7 November.
Presidential Election, 15 October 2008
Following an invitation from the Government Azerbaijan, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 1 September to observe the presidential election on 15 October.
Repeat Parliamentary Elections, 13 May 2006
In response to an invitation by the Government of Azerbaijan, ODIHR deployed a limited election observation mission to observe the 13 May 2006 partial repeat parliamentary elections. Out of a total number of 125 constituencies, repeat elections were held in 10 constituencies in which the results of the 6 November 2005 elections had been cancelled by the Central Election Commission and the Constitutional Court.
Parliamentary Elections, 6 November 2005
In response to an invitation from the Government of Azerbaijan, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 5 September to observe the 6 November parliamentary elections.
Presidential Election, 15 October 2003
ODIHR deployed an election observation mission for the 15 October presidential election in response to an invitation from Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
Parliamentary Elections, 5 November 2000 and 7 January 2001
Following an invitation from Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, ODIHR deployed an election observation mission on 4 October to observe the parliamentary elections on 5 November.
Presidential Election, 11 October 1998
Upon receipt of an official invitation from Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister to observe the 11 October presidential election, ODIHR sent a needs assessment mission to Baku between 31 July and 4 August 1998.
Parliamentary Elections and Constitutional Referendum, 12 November 1995
At the invitation from the Government of Azerbaijan, ODIHR deployed a joint election observation mission with the UN on 5 September to observe the 12 November parliamentary elections and constitutional referendum.
