German OSCE Chairmanship sharply condemns latest nuclear test in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
BERLIN 9 September 2016
BERLIN, 9 September 2016 - Germany, also in its capacity as the OSCE Chairmanship in 2016, has declared its sharp condemnation of the latest nuclear test in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Spokesperson of the German government Steffen Seibert stated today in Berlin that the latest nuclear test has by far not been the only provocation by the DPRK this year. “It is evident that the Pyongyang leadership is trying, in an irresponsible manner, to further destabilize the situation in Northeast Asia. We urge the DPRK to adhere to the United Nations Security Council resolutions.”
The German OSCE Chairmanship remains committed to a resolute, unified and unequivocal reaction of the international community to any new DPRK provocation.
