Road Safety Week was held in Armenia in May 2011 to raise awareness on road safety rules among drivers and pedestrians with a special focus on children, in the framework of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020.
Events included a street action on 11 May when schoolchildren together with traffic police officers advised pedestrians on crossing streets according to the traffic rules, distributed flyers and promotional gifts; re-painting a pedestrian crossing area on 13 May; and an interactive game where 48 schoolchildren tested their knowledge on traffic rules.\
The public events were organized by the OSCE Office in Yerevan, United Nations Department for Public Information (UNDPI) and the Armenian National Road Safety Council (NRSC).
