Organized by: The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, with the OSCE Special Representative for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, the UNODC, and the Government of Cyprus

By bringing together representatives from countries on both sides of the Mediterranean Rim Region and a number of leading international experts, the meeting was the first of its kind in combining discussions on how to co-operate in the areas of combating both money laundering and human trafficking in this sensitive region.

The objective of the meeting was to identify possible joint initiatives and best international practices.

The meeting was organized by the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) in co-operation with the OSCE Office of the Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, The Global Programme against Money Laundering of UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus.
