Extraordinary IPRM meeting takes place in Zardiantkari

ZARDIANTKARI, Georgia, 2 July 2012 - On 1 July 2012, an extraordinary meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, co-facilitated by the EUMM and the OSCE, took place in the village of Zardiantkari.

Participants discussed the security situation and the freedom of movement in the village in the light of recent developments. The Georgian and the de facto South Ossetian authorities agreed to exchange information about those members of the community who may have recently left the village. Depending on the outcome of this exchange, there may be a follow up IPRM meeting. 

The next regular IPRM meeting is scheduled for 26 July 2012.

The Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms were established under the Geneva International Discussions, which are co-chaired by the OSCE, the EU and the UN.
