Antje Grawe
Antje Grawe is Acting Head of the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine. She was appointed to this position on 1 April 2022 by the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Zbigniew Rau.
Prior to this appointment, for three years she served as Deputy Chief Monitor of the SMM where she led the Mission’s work in the fields of the human dimension, gender, environment and dialogue facilitation.
Overall, she has more than 20 years of professional experience working in international affairs, diplomacy and peace and security with various international and bilateral organizations including the OSCE, the United Nations and with the German Government. She served in senior management and advisory positions both at organizational headquarters and in the field in Afghanistan, Haiti, Pakistan and Ukraine, among others.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and History from the University of Trier and studied at universities in Bordeaux, Warsaw and Krakow.
