A study on capacities of local ombudspersons in Serbia will be presented in Belgrade tomorrow.
The publication, commissioned by the OSCE Mission to Serbia in 2011, provides an overview of the work and challenges faced by local ombudspersons.
The event will be opened by Saša Janković, the Citizens’ Protector of the Republic of Serbia, Aniko Muškinja Heinrich, the Ombudsperson of AP Vojvodina, Zlatko Marosiuk, the President of the Association of Local Ombudspersons in Serbia, Nikola Tarbuk, the Managing Assistant for Advocacy of the Secreatry General at the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and Jan Lueneburg, the Head of the Demoratization Department at the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
Participants will also include representatives of local ombudspersons’ institutions, civil society organisations, media, and international and national organisations.
