OSCE Mission hosts debate on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)

The debate will focus on the potential impact of the ACTA draft agreement on freedom of expression and personal data protection. The aim of this event, gathering representatives of the relevant state institutions, journalists, social media activists, legal experts as well as the broader public, is to provide information about the content of the ACTA draft agreement and possible effects it could have on the Internet as an important platform for exercising freedom of expression in the digital environment.
Jasna Matić, the State Secretary for Digital Agenda, Rodoljub Šabić, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Saša Gajin, from the Law faculty of the Union University, Vukašin Obradović, the President of the Independent Journalists Association of Serbia and Aleksandar Blagojević, social media activist, will speak at the event. The discussion will be moderated by Dragana Nikolic Solomon, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Media Department.
