The Manual represents an important step in supporting the functioning of local gender equality commissions as well as designated focal points for gender equality in the administration. The Manual includes various ways to implement the Law on Gender Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Gender Action Plan adopted for the period from 2013 to 2017.

Hate Crime Data Collection and Monitoring: A Practical Guide was written in co-operation with national experts, partner international organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations with responsibility for monitoring hate crimes at the national and international levels. It sets out 'Ten Practical Steps' that need to be taken to improve recording systems, to understand the extent of under-reporting and to encourage victims to report hate crimes. It aims to contribute to efforts to fill data gaps and gain a better understanding of the prevalence and impact of hate crime across the OSCE region.

The report considers the advances made in prosecuting war crimes cases involving sexual violence at the Court of BiH and makes recommendations for the speedier delivery of justice. One of the Mission’s primary goals is ensuring that justice is attained for the victims of the crimes committed between 1992 and 1995.

The BiH War Crime Case Map is an interactive tool developed by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina aimed at enhancing transparency and public trust in the processing of war crimes. The Mission monitors and reports on war crimes proceedings to provide an objective and accurate assessment of the ability of the judicial system to deal with war crimes in an effective, human rights compliant and expeditious manner.

The present report is a product of studies and assessments undertaken by the OSCE Mission to BiH on the social protection system. The report represents an overview of the system and highlights areas of concern regarding inadequacies and inequalities within it.

This manual is intended to provide an introduction to the broad areas of knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to conduct field investigations into war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. It is aimed at prosecutors, investigators and other investigation staff; all those whose duties bring them into contact with criminal investigations of this nature.

This leaflet has been developed by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina to explain to you what to expect as a witness or victim of a crime and thus lessen your inconvenience throughout the criminal proceedings.

The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina encourages municipalities to form partnerships and regional networks to address issues of common concern, consolidate and improve good governance standards that have been achieved, and develop new approaches to current and future challenges in local governance. Inter-municipal learning and support was conceptually formalized as a means to encourage municipalities to identify and meet their own development needs. It is one of the seven main components of the Mission’s Local First initiative which was launched in 2009.

Through targeted projects implemented at the local level, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina strives to raise the level of young peoples’ civic engagement and encourages them to take a more active role in community decision-making processes.
