This educational and methodical manual- an introduction to the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR)- is the second edition containing three reviewed and updated sections. The first section contains FAQ and answers on how to file an individual application to the ECtHR. The second section explains basic regulations that relate to the protection of the rights and freedoms of a person or legal entity in ECtHR. The third section includes clarifications on how to fill in a new application to ECtHR and an example of such application. It is designed for lawyers, advocates, professors, state officials, judges and other audiences focusing on human rights and their effective protection at the international level. The publication is not available in English.

The handbook provides an in-depth analysis of ten fundamental human rights, such as the right to life, right to fair and equal treatment, the right to liberty and security of person and others. The book highlights the origin of those rights and history of their evolution, it explains their meaning and presents an overview of liability for violations. The handbook uses interactive methods to meet the needs of primary (6-12 years) and secondary (13-18 years) school children. Special attention is paid to practical exercises designed to help children understand the nature of human rights in practice. The publication is aimed at teachers, professors, lawyers and all those interested in human rights seeking to raise awareness of human rights among children, and is not available in English.
