Due to the important oversight role of ombudspersons, as independent institutions, the OSCE Mission to Serbia supports the Association of Ombudspersons in Serbia (AOS) in its efforts to help local ombudspersons in fulfilling their mandate of setting the standards in the work of democratic institutions and through continuous protection of the rights of citizens. In this brochure, the Handbook for voters "What Is Local Government and How It Is Elected" has been transformed into Easy-to-Read Format, in order to make it accessible to the people with learning disabilities and a wider audience. The Brochure, prepared by the State Election Commission (SEC) of the Republic of North Macedonia and the OSCE Mission to Skopje, aims to increase voters’ knowledge on local self-government, bodies that are elected at local elections and specifics about the local elections. The handbook provides brief and simple information on the role and competencies of mayors and municipal councils in North Macedonia, the election process. Not available in English.

The Master of Sciences in “Transitional Justice” program at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Tirana is established to consolidate the conduct of research and teaching in the field of transitional justice in Albania. Through a comprehensive and integrated curriculum, the Master’s Programme will address those dimensions that are critical for understanding transitional justice in Albania, with specific reference to the social, political, institutional and legal context in which the transition from the communist past took place to the main actors and to what extent justice has been/can be achieved. The programme will draw lessons from comparisons with other societies transitioning from war-to-peace or authoritarianism-to-democracy.
