The Handbook clarifies the purpose of standards, learning results at the end of a particular educational cycle, and the rationale of classification of standards by teaching fields. Teachers are referred to the reading of standards intertwined by knowledge, skills in the area of Language, Literature and Language Culture, as well as by the levels of educational attainment. The highest number of the standards is illustrated with textual tasks, assignments, and questions which enable application of students’ knowledge and demonstration of their cognitive abilities. In 2016, the OSCE Mission supported the Public Policy Research Centre, civil society organization to conduct a research on how the security sector reform affects human security in Serbia and to reassess the impact of security sector reform on LGBT people. The purpose of the research was to establish whether there have been changes in the policies of security sector institutions concerning the LGBT community as a vulnerable group.

The report provides an overview of the current status of voluntary returns to Kosovo, including conflict-affected displacements of persons to the Western Balkans region and within Kosovo itself. The reports finds that while there have been some improvements since 2012, the return process is affected by unresolved property issues, administrative difficulties in applications for assistance, and in some returns sites, problematic inter-community relations and security incidents.

A three-month long campaign titled “Your Language is Your Right” is aimed at raising public awareness of available language protection and complaints mechanisms, as well as of the Language Commissioner`s role. Posters, leaflets and radio spots produced during the campaign in the Albanian, Romani, Serbian and Turkish languages have been distributed and aired across Kosovo. A poster in English is not available.
