It introduces all step-by-step procedures on pre-trial and court proceedings related to defamation and insult cases. The guide was developed by Ara Ghazaryan, Deputy Director of Arni Consult and member of the Information Disputes Council and Artak Zeynalyan, human rights activist of the Rule of Law NGO. The publication “The State of Media Freedom in Armenia 2013: Core problems and challenges” summarizes the main challenges facing reporters and news outlets in Armenia in 2013, such as physical violence, pressure tactics and legal suits filed against them. Other challenges to the development of the media sector in Armenia have also been looked at – unhealthy competition, a shrinking print media due to technological advances, a lack of professionalism, etc. It is intended for reporters, attorneys, professionals dealing with freedom of speech/media issues, students of journalism, and the general reading public. The book was prepared by the Investigative Journalists NGO with the support from the OSCE Office in Yerevan.

Nubarashen Site Assessment and Feasibility Study

The report introduces the outcomes of a study of the obsolete pesticides and persistent organic pollutants in the Nubarashen burial site, located near Yerevan, and their impact on the environment. It also includes potential scenarios for site remediation. The project was implemented by the OSCE Office in Yerevan and the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations, with funding from the US Government. The feasibility study and the assessment of environmental and health risks was conducted by Tauw, a Dutch company.
