The ‘Real Property in the Republic of Azerbaijan’ monitoring report was prepared and published by the Citizens Labour Rights Protection League with the financial support of the OSCE Office in Baku. These Guidelines on Political Party Regulation have been created as a tool to assist OSCE participating States and Council of Europe Member States in formulating legal frameworks that comply with OSCE commitments and other international standards in facilitating the proper establishment, development and functioning of political parties.

This research into the successful international practices of funding civil society organizations was carried out with support from the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine. It provides an in-depth analysis of six European countries as a reference for understanding civil society organizations’ finances from both state or non-state sources. It is available in both English and Ukrainian.

With the aim of promoting the implementation of the Aarhus Convention principles, empowering the civil society and fostering the partnership between the civil sector and authorities, the OSCE Mission to Serbia supported the district Arhus Centre Kragujevac legal team in the development of model legal acts for local self-government units that enable sustainable public involvement in environmental decision-making processes at local level, more transparent access to environmental information and charge-free provision of legal assistance in environmental disputes. These model decisions aim at establishing “environmental councils” and introducing “green seats” in municipal assemblies, and “green line” and “green ombudsmen” within local administrations. The models were adopted by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and the Municipal Assembly of the City of Kragujevac at the end of 2010.

The Research done by the Institute of Rural Development as commissioned by OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine provides an overview and detailed analysis of Ukrainian laws regulating civil society funding and taxation issues with focus on problematic issues relating to application of legal provisions to practice. It also contains recommendations as to improvement of the existing regulatory framework in line with the best international practices, the need for consistency and effectiveness in fostering sustainable development and financial independence of civil society organisations. Available in English and Ukrainian.

The research, conducted with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, provides an overview of some successful international practices in building and maintaining efficient co-operation between government authorities and civil society. It outlines confidence-building measures and mechanisms that facilitate dialogue and that can be applied in the Ukrainian context. It is available in both English and Ukrainian.
