The OSCE Mission to Serbia will sponsor up to eight selected students for the post-graduate master studies (MA) at the Belgrade University’s Faculty of Political Sciences and Faculty of Security Studies, and up to seven selected students for one academic year of their doctoral studies at the Belgrade University’s Faculty of Political Sciences and Faculty of Security Studies. In co-operation with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, the OSCE Mission in Serbia supported a second research exploring citizens' perceptions of personal data protection. The research was conducted in April and May 2023 and included 1211 respondents from Serbia.

In co-operation with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, the OSCE Mission supported a research exploring citizens’ perceptions of personal data protection. The research was conducted in October and November 2020 and included 1217 respondents from Serbia.

The OSCE Mission to Serbia supported the Analysis of the security sector related legislation from the perspective of personal data protection. The publication is the first of its kind in this particular area after the entry into force of the Law on Personal Data Protection, covering more than 90 laws and by-laws. The publication is available only in Serbian language.

The purpose of this Guide is to provide basic guidelines for further steps in the process of comprehensive regulation of the area of information security in Serbia. The study is intended for decision makers: for representatives of the relevant state institutions, as support to efforts directed at regulation of the area of information security in Serbia, but also for representatives of the private sector, academic community and civil society interested in this field. The Guide is produced in co-operation with the CSO the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies, in the scope of the larger project related to security sector reform, implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

This publication presents a compilation of the ten best essays written by the M.A. and Ph.D. alumni whose academic studies were financially supported by the Mission. The essays were written on the topic: “The OSCE and contemporary security challenges”.
