OSCE-supported Women’s Resource Centres in Tajikistan

The video describes the services provided by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe-supported network of 14 Women’s Resource Centres (WRCs) throughout the country for the victims of gender-based violence. It also familiarizes with the activities of one of the WRCs located in the Khuroson district of the Khatlon region, including through interviews with the Centre’s key staff and its beneficiaries.

Patrol Field Capacity Building of the Tajik Border Troops- Phase II (PFCB2)

Patrol Field Capacity Building project – Phase II (PFCB2) will run from 2023 to 2024. Through the project, the Tajik Border Troops will be trained and equipped to address the threats emanating from the volatile security environment along the border with Afghanistan including security threats, criminal threats, explosive hazards, and humanitarian challenges. Specialized training courses will be delivered to 400 Tajik border troops by the end of 2024. Topics will include basic patrolling and mountaineering, boat patrolling operations, operational planning, adult learning, and curriculum development, and the use of technical systems for border monitoring. PFCB2 is funded by the Republic of France and implemented by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.
OSCE-supported Women’s Resource Centres in Tajikistan

OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supports a nationwide network of 14 Women Resource Centres that provide psycho-social support and legal advice to survivors of domestic violence. The Centres raise awareness of domestic violence and empower women through different vocational courses. The project aims to increase the country’s capacity to effectively and sustainably address gender-based violence and domestic violence through awareness-raising and direct support to survivors of domestic violence. Women’s Resource Centres project is funded by the United States of America, Finland, Norway, Germany, and Andorra.
OSCE Border Management Staff College

As a part of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Border Management Staff College works to enhance the knowledge of senior border security and management officials while promoting greater co-operation and exchange of information among them. The College, located in the heart of Central Asia, services the 57 participating States, and their Partners for Co-operation. The College was inaugurated on 27 May 2009 in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. It falls within the programmes of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and is located within its premises.
