OSCE GIP/WIN conducted a mapping exercise of police and justice sector training curricula on VAWG in South East Europe. The main objective of the exercise was to identify good practices as well as need for improvement in developing and delivering training for law enforcement and justice sectors. This exercise provided OSCE-wide insights on Minimum standards and components of training curricula on combating violence against women and girls for police and judiciary. The proposed Minimum Standards aim to enhance the effectiveness of VAWG training programs by providing guidance to OSCE executive structures, policymakers and training institutions when designing and delivering training on violence against women and girls.

This 2023 Annual Progress Report highlights OSCE’s progress on the Implementation of the 2004 OSCE Action Plan for the Promotion of Gender Equality and key successes achieved in advancing equality and the empowerment of women. The report explores OSCE’s work in this area as well as the support the OSCE executive structures provide to participating States in promoting gender equality.
