The conference will bring together representatives of Central Asian countries engaged in fostering e-development and the business climate, representatives of the private sector, mainly tech companies and financial business institutions, academia and a number of international organizations to discuss the value, benefits, potentials and challenges of digital markets.
The thematic sessions will also focus on the role of the government in facilitating and fostering favourable conditions for e-business and e-commerce through relevant legal measures and the simplification of customs and tax procedures. The participants will examine how to boost co-operation between government and private sectors by developing and integrating digital services with electronic markets. Through this conference, government representatives will receive a general understanding about the legal framework necessary to encourage e-business and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, thereby enhancing their knowledge in the development of digital business. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their experiences and share best practices in these areas. Discussions on the improvement of data and privacy protection in digital markets will be covered as well.
The working languages will be Russian and English with simultaneous interpretation.
