The OSCE Programme Office in Astana in partnership with the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department and UNODC will organize a six-day training course aimed at building the capacity of Kazakhstan’s government officials to disrupt the financing of terrorist network and to apply sanctions in line with the UN Security Council Resolutions 1267, 1988, 1989, 2253, 2255 and 2368. This event is part of a series of training courses for Kazakhstan’s officials to counter the financing of terrorism that focuses on disrupting terrorist networks and fostering inter-agency co-operation. Based on localized scenarios, the training seminar will also identify specific instruments and techniques that enable officials to counter the terrorism financing.
The event is part of the Programme Office’s multi-year efforts to combat money laundering and terrorism financing.
