The OSCE Programme Office will support a training seminar for the 8th Central Asian Leadership Programme (CALP) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The twelve-day event will bring together some 35 young environmental leaders from the government, private sector and non-governmental organizations of Central Asia and Afghanistan who will focus on the “water-food-energy-ecosystems nexus” and discuss the aspects of promoting green economy. The participants will also have an opportunity to network, discuss main topics of the programme and learn directly from the initiators of transformative processes in the region.
The CALP is a follow-up of the Programme Office’s long-standing efforts to promote green growth and to strengthen the network of young environmental leaders in the Central Asian region and beyond to promote sustainable development.
