Twenty law enforcement and government representatives strengthened their skills in identifying and investigating the illegal use of cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets through a training course held from 27 February to 2 March 2023 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The third national workshop on the social re-use of confiscated assets in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was held on 28 February in Sarajevo. The workshop was organized by the OSCE Transnational Threats Department, the Office of the OSCE Co-ordinator for Economic and Environmental Activities, and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The OSCE supported the ninth annual meeting of the Permanent Conference of Organized Crime Prosecutors (PCOCP), held on 22 and 23 February in Belgrade, Serbia. The meeting gathered 25 prosecutors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.

On 24 January, the OSCE organized the third National Workshop on Social Re-use of Confiscated Assets in Serbia. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Republic’s Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, civil society and other international organizations.

From 20 November to 10 December the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) in co-operation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, delivered four online training sessions aimed at improving the capacities of investigative journalists and civil society on data-journalism, data analysis and visualisation through the use of open data and digital tools.
