A high-level meeting and field visit aimed to foster young women’s participation in the renewable energy sector took place in Nur-Sultan on 14 July 2022. The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities organized the event together with the Kazakh German University.

Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on Youth and Security Maria Raczynska and OSCE Senior Adviser on Gender Issues Lara Scarpitta visited the Polish-Ukrainian border on 4 and 5 July 2022 where they gathered information on the situation of refugees from Ukraine, as 1.2 million (94 % of whom are women and children), are officially registered, with access to health care, education and employment.

On 16 June 2022, the OSCE Gender Issues Programme and the Transnational Threats Department’s Action against Terrorism Unit organized an online validation workshop on the needs assessment for creating two regional networks for female practitioners in preventing and countering violent extremism that lead to radicalization (P/CVERLT) in South-Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
