Spot report by OSCE Observer Mission: Seventeenth Russian convoy crossed into Ukraine and returned back through Donetsk Border Crossing Point

On 04 March 2015 at 07:21hrs (Moscow time), a Russian convoy arrived at the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP). A total of 83 vehicles were checked by the Russian border guard and customs services. All the vehicles had crossed back into the Russian Federation by 17:18hrs on 04 March.

Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Russian Federation. The Observer Mission (OM) continues to operate 24/7 at both Border Crossing Points (BCPs). Overall cross-border traffic flows slightly increased at both BCPs. The OM continued to observe a number of persons in military-style clothing crossing the border in both directions.

On 08 January 2015 at 08:30 (Moscow time), a Russian convoy consisting of 62 vehicles arrived at the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP). Cargo trucks were inspected by the Russian border guard and customs services. All the vehicles crossed back into the Russian Federation (RF) at 03:28 on January 09. This was the twelfth Russian convoy crossing through the Donetsk BCP since the arrival of the Observer Mission (OM) at the Russian BCPs.

What we do: Border management, Conflict prevention and resolution
Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Russian Federation. The Observer Mission (OM) continues to operate 24/7 at both Border Crossing Points (BCPs). Overall cross-border traffic flows increased significantly at both BCPs due to the upcoming new year. The OM continued to observe a significant number of persons in military-style clothing crossing the border in both directions. Train movements at the Gukovo BCP have decreased in frequency.

On 19 and 21 December 2014 two Russian convoys crossed into Ukraine through the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP). These were the 10th and 11th Russian convoys crossing through the Donetsk BCP since the arrival of the Observer Mission (OM) at the Russian BCPs.

On 12 December 2014 at 07:50 (Moscow time), a Russian convoy arrived at the Donetsk Border Crossing Point (BCP). A total of 83 vehicles were inspected by the Russian border guard and customs services. All the vehicles crossed back into the Russian Federation (RF) at 19:47 on December 12. This was the ninth Russian convoy to cross the border into Ukraine, and the eight crossing through the Donetsk BCP since the arrival of the Observer Mission (OM) at the Russian BCPs.

Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Russian Federation. The Observer Mission (OM)’s mandate has been extended until 23 December. It continues to operate 24/7 at both Border Crossing Points (BCPs). Overall cross-border traffic flows increased at both BCPs. Traffic flows turned again and slightly more people entered than left the Russian Federation (RF) at the two observed BCPs. The OM continued to observe a significant number of persons in military-style clothing crossing the border in both directions.
