Fifteen specialists from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Border Troops of the Republic of Tajikistan completed a two-week Explosive Ordnance Disposal course (EOD level 1-2) on 4 May 2024 in Bokhtar of the Khatlon region.

On 23 and 24 April, the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department (TNTD) and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA), in co-operation with the Programme Office in Dushanbe, held multi-stakeholder workshops with young people, influencers and governmental practitioners to discuss how to use social media as a platform to raise the awareness and resilience of young people on involvement in crime.

On 19 April 2024, in the context of Tajikistan’s ongoing review under the 5th monitoring round of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, the Programme Office in Dushanbe supported the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) monitoring team’s visit to Dushanbe.

On 18 April 2024, in the framework of its anti-corruption awareness-raising campaign, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supported one lecture on anti-corruption in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

On 17 April 2024, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe in collaboration with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Energy and Water Resources conducted a half-day event dedicated to the Kafirnighan River Basin Council’s 4th meeting.

A study tour to Georgia for five representatives of Tajikistan’s Committee on Environmental Protection was organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe from 17 to 22 March 2024.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe completed a capacity-building training course on avalanche safety for representatives of Tajikistan’s Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence (CoESCD) on 15 March 2024 in the Varzob district, outskirts of Dushanbe.
