A three-day training course aimed at further strengthening the capacity of North Macedonia to counter terrorist financing concluded on 23 September 2021.

Good practices in the treatment of foreign terrorist fighter (FTF) returnees, including age and gender-sensitive approaches, was the focus of an expert dialogue organized online by the OSCE’s Action against Terrorism Unit jointly with OSCE field operations in Central Asia from 15 to 17 September 2021.

A four-day course aimed at further strengthening Albania’s capacity to counter the financing of terrorism concluded on 11 September 2021 in Pogradec, Albania. The course was organized by the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department, with the support of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the OSCE Presence in Albania.

A four-day training course aimed at strengthening the capacity of Kyrgyzstan to counter terrorist financing concluded in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan on 28 August 2021. It was organized by the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department, in co-operation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.

Twenty practitioners from South-Eastern Europe and Central Asia took part in an online interactive OSCE workshop on inclusive youth engagement in preventing and countering violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism (P/CVERLT) held on 15 July 2021.

The OSCE Transnational Threats Department’s Action against Terrorism Unit and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) organized an online train-the-trainer course from 14 to 16 June 2021, as part of a multiannual training programme to strengthen North Macedonia’s capacities in countering the financing of terrorism.

Fostering regional co-operation in addressing terrorist financing and organized crime was the focus of the OSCE Regional Conference on Countering Terrorist Financing and Transnational Organized Crime held online on 11 May 2021.
