OSCE helps to co-ordinate the international community’s project activities in the religious sphere in Kyrgyzstan

On 6 April a meeting on how to improve co-ordination between state agencies and international organizations based in Kyrgyzstan in regard to project activities in the religious sphere took place in Bishkek. This event was conducted by the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.

OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek hands over video surveillance equipment to State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan

The OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek handed over video surveillance equipment to the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) on 24 October 2017 in the city of Osh. The video equipment consisting of 18 security cameras will enhance security in the remand prison as well as contribute to prevention of torture and other cruel and degrading treatment or punishment in penitentiaries.
