On June 27-29, a three-day regional meeting of 35 senior representatives of the border services from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan took place in Issyk-Kul province.

Terrorist financing encompasses the means and methods used by terrorist groups to finance their activities that poses serious threats to national, regional and international stability and economic growth.

More than 50 young community leaders from across the country gathered for two in-person training courses, which took place from 14 to 18 June in Bishkek and from 27 September to 1 October in Osh.

From 14 to 18 September 2021, eleven students from across Kyrgyzstan are taking part in a five-day autumn school on Anti-money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism in Issyk- Kul, Kyrgyzstan.

A four-day training course aimed at strengthening the capacity of Kyrgyzstan to counter terrorist financing concluded in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan on 28 August 2021. It was organized by the OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department, in co-operation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.

The Eighth Annual Anti-Terrorism Experts Meeting, organized by the Anti-Terrorist Center under the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, and the OSCE’s Action against Terrorism Unit/Transnational Threats Department, was held from 18 to 21 August 2021 in Issyk-Kul.

The OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek successfully completed a one-day roundtable discussion focusing on progress in the framework of efforts in implementing a system for passenger data exchange, the Advance Passenger Information- Passenger Name Record (API/PNR) on 3 December 2020. The event was organized in co-operation with the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
