At the 35th session of Parliamentary Gender Equality Committee, held on 28 October, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro presented to MPs and representatives of the public administration instruments developed to support the institution in ensuring the laws are gender-mainstreamed and provide for equal treatment of all citizens.

On 15 June 2022, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro supported the NGO SOS Helpline Nikšić, a shelter for women and children survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, by assisting them in extending their facility licenses, as well as donated bedroom, dining and living room furniture to improve the living conditions of survivors of violence.

OSCE Mission to Montenegro supports children and youth survivors of gender-based violence

The OSCE Mission to Montenegro recognizes the essential work that the organizations ‘Women’s Safe House’ and ‘SOS Podgorica’ do in providing a safe refuge to women and their children from gender-based violence, complementary to social and judicial response. In support of the ongoing national efforts, the Mission donated around 300 books and arts and crafts sets for children and youth survivors of gender-based violence on 22 February 2022 in Podgorica.
