The OSCE Presence in Albania has completed a series of thematic training sessions aimed at enhancing environmental inspection and control at the municipal level. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen environmental governance and security across the country.

Thirty police officers from the alpine units of Tirana, Fier and Shkodra participated in a specialized training programme in the mountains of Korça from 10 to 13 March 2025.

On 12 December 2024, the Presence and Tirana University hosted a closing ceremony, bringing together around 100 academic staff, students and donors to reflect on the project’s achievements and its ongoing impact.

Strengthening the dialogue between national human rights institutions and representatives of local authorities and civil society organizations was the aim of a series of roundtables that the OSCE Presence in Albania organized together with the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination. The roundtables took place in Peshkopi, Tropoja, Kuçova and Roskovec, from 13 November to 11 December 2024.
