OSCE organizes workshops on youth crime and drug use prevention in Nur-Sultan

On 17 March, and 11 and 12 April, the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities and the OSCE Transnational Threats Department together with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, co-organized workshops on youth crime and drug use prevention in Nur-Sultan. The focus of the workshops was cross-agency co-operation through the exchange of best practices and lessons learned in this specific area.

The OSCE Transnational Threats Department and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, in co-operation with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Agency for the Management of Seized Asset of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized a two-day training course on extended confiscation of proceeds of crime in Sarajevo on 5 and 6 of April.
OSCE holds workshop on development of training curriculum for combating gender-based violence in South-Eastern Europe

On 24 March 2022, the OSCE organized an online regional workshop on developing a training curriculum for law enforcement and judiciary on gender-based violence. The curriculum will be delivered during a regional train-the-trainers course, as part of the project Enhancing Criminal Justice Capacities for Combating Gender-based Violence in South-Eastern Europe (2021-2024). Tailored workshops to further adapt the curriculum to the national contexts will be organized for each project beneficiary country: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.

OSCE organizes workshop on youth crime and drug use prevention in Dushanbe

Trends, challenges, lessons learned and best practices in the field of youth crime and drug use prevention, and the need to strengthen educational programmes to foster youth’s understanding on the threats of organized crime, corruption and drug use were discussed at a workshop held on 1 March 2022 in Dushanbe. The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities and the OSCE Transnational Threats Department co-organized the event with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
Extended confiscation of proceeds of crime focus of OSCE-organized training course in Bosnia and Herzegovina

On 26 and 27 January, the OSCE Transnational Threats Department (TNTD) and the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA), in co-operation with the Federal Agency for the Management of Seized Property and the Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized a training course on asset recovery for 30 judges from cantonal and municipal courts, for departments for fighting organized crime. Representatives of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in the training course.
OSCE organizes training course on financial investigations, virtual currencies and darknet in Armenia

OSCE, jointly with the Council of Europe, organized a training course on financial investigations, cryptocurrencies and the use of the darknet for police officers, prosecutors, and representatives of the National Security Service, Investigative Committee, and the Central Bank of Armenia. Over 20 participants attended the training course held from 19 to 21 January in Yerevan.
