On 3-4 July 2024, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz) in close co-operation with the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Public Fund to Support and Develop National Media in Uzbekistan, organized a roundtable in the Tashkent region on the topic “Legislative Framework for Ensuring Freedom of Speech and Information: Parliament and Independent Media”.

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan(PCUz), in partnership with the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organised a five-day training titled "Digital Forensics: Challenges and Opportunities" for the period from 23 to 27 October, 2023. The training course was aimed at enhancing the capacity of law enforcement agencies to detect and investigate cybercrimes by further promoting international co-operation, co-ordination and information sharing among respective structures. 

On 10 July, in Tashkent, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz), together with the Public Fund to Support and Develop National Media in Uzbekistan and the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), held a roundtable discussion on the Freedom of Media in Digital Age.

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in co-operation with the Centre for Retraining of Journalists and with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent, is organizing a train-the-trainers workshop on 10 and 11 March 2021 in Tashkent. Thirty-five local media professionals will be trained as instructors in the use of social media, in legislative and regulatory developments related to social media, and in journalistic ethics and the rights of journalists and bloggers.

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in co-operation with the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media, is organizing a series of training courses to enhance the skills of journalists and bloggers in the regions of Uzbekistan. Each training session will last for two days and will be conducted in the following regions of Uzbekistan: Karshi, Samarkand, Bukhara and Nukus from 10 to 25 December 2020...
