OSCE supports training course for governmental human rights focal points

From 24 to 26 October 2023, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (Office) in co-operation with the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tajikistan organized a three-day training course for governmental human rights focal points in Bokhtar, Khatlon region.

OSCE organizes human rights training for secondary school teachers in Khorog

From 15 to 16 September, the Programme Office in Dushanbe (the Office) supported the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in organizing a two-day training on Human Rights. The training brought together 20 (19 women and 1 man) human rights teachers from secondary schools of Khorog (GBAO) and surrounding areas.

From 12 to 14 September 2023, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (the Office) in co-operation with the office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tajikistan organized a three-day training in Khorog (GBAO) for governmental Human Rights Focal points. The training brought together 23 participants (15 women and 8 men), including from remote districts of the GBAO region.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe organized a study visit to Barcelona, Spain for six representatives of the Union of Women Judges of the Republic of Tajikistan on 13-15 June 2023. The Tajik officials learned from their Spanish counterparts the best practices of improving women and girls' access to justice, increasing gender sensitivity in cases of violence against girls and women, eliminating gender stereotypes in judicial proceedings and protecting child rights.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (Office) supported the Main Prison Department under Tajikistan’s Ministry of Justice to inaugurate a production unit and medical room in the female prison in Nurek district on 10 June 2022. The Acting Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, Ambassador Vuk Zugic, and the Head of the Main Prison Department under Tajikistan’s Justice Ministry, General Mansurjon Umarov, attended the official opening ceremony.
