OSCE strengthens capacity of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service to counter criminal threats

The OSCE enhanced the knowledge and practical skills of 20 criminal analysis officers from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) by providing a training on the use of specialized analytical software in investigating criminal threats. The event took place from 13 to 15 August in Kyiv.

On 15 and 16 July 2024, 15 young women graduates of the OSCE Scholarship for Peace and Security training programme gather in Vienna for a capacity-building workshop on overcoming the barriers faced by young women working in conflict prevention and resolution. Jointly organized by the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, the Forum for Security Co-operation Support Unit and the OSCE Gender Issues Programme’s WIN Project, the two-day event featured a negotiation skills workshop on conflict prevention and resolution.

On 20 June 2024, the OSCE’s Conflict Prevention Centre (CPC) organized a side-event to present the OSCE’s model for small arms and light weapons (SALW) and stockpiles of conventional ammunition (SCA) assistance. The event was co-organized by the German Federal Foreign Office and held in the United Nations Headquarters on the margins of a conference on the topic held in New York.
