During this two-day seminar, 30 judges and prosecutors will receive training on the adjudication of war crimes cases with a specific focus on the definition of war crimes under international law, war crimes involving sexual violence, and regional legislation and jurisprudence.
The training seminar is a follow-up to the European Union-funded War Crimes Justice Project, which was implemented by the OSCE/ODHIR in partnership with the ICTY, the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute and OSCE field operations, and completed in October 2011.
The training seminar will utilize the international criminal law training curriculum for judges and prosecutors developed as a part of the Project.
