Organized by
OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR)
ODIHR’s Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department will hold a second expert meeting to support the development of a practical guide entitled, Monitoring and Collecting Hate Crime Data for Effective Policy and Practical Responses.
The expert group will review the first draft of the guide and work together to agree the key issues to be reflected in the second draft. The meeting follows a series of good practice visits to the US, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and the UK. The visits generated rich information about different approaches to hate crime data collection, which will help ensure the guide is applicable to a range of contexts across the OSCE region. The guide is due to be launched in early 2013.
