The training course is based on a joint training portfolio developed by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Council of Europe (CoE), which aims to strengthen the capacity of police officers working in Roma and Sinti communities and mixed communities.
Participants will learn how to provide effective policing strategies that are responsive to the needs of Roma and Sinti and comply with human rights standards.
They will learn about European non-discrimination standards and standards derived from the European Court of Human Rights jurisprudence on preventing and investigating racially motivated crimes and increase their understanding of gender-specific issues that Roma, Sinti and Traveller women face.
Registration will be by invitation only.
