Part of ODIHR’s project “Advancing the Human Dimension of Security in Ukraine”, the training event is designed for Roma human rights defenders working on issues related to the human rights of Roma. The training aims to enable Roma human rights defenders to independently carry out high-quality and objective human rights monitoring and reporting, including on hate-motivated incidents and hate crimes targeting Roma. The training focuses on the human rights monitoring cycle and principles, as well as core principles of human rights advocacy and of working with state actors.
Particular attention will be paid to gender diversity among participants, representation of Roma women's rights activists and participants from different age groups, including Roma youth.
Interested Roma human rights defenders are welcome to submit their applications by 10 April 2020 by filling in the online application form and uploading their CV, in English, Ukrainian or Russian.
