Recruitment of Local Support Staff for the Election Assessment Mission to Malta
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the leading agency in Europe in the field of election observation. The Office co-ordinates and organizes the deployment of numerous observation missions, with thousands of observers, every year to assess the compliance of elections in OSCE participating States with OSCE commitments and other international standards for democratic elections and with national legislation. ODIHR’s unique methodology provides in-depth insights into all elements of an electoral process, allowing the Office to offer concrete recommendations to further improve electoral processes. Following an official invitation from the authorities of the Republic of Malta, based on the findings and conclusions of the Needs Assessment Mission deployed from 15 to 17 May 2017, and in accordance with its mandate, the OSCE/ODIHR is deploying an Election Assessment Mission (EAM) for the upcoming early parliamentary elections scheduled for 3 June 2017.
In this connection, the OSCE/ODIHR is looking to recruit local support staff for the below mentioned positions on full-time basis:
Programmatic positions:
- EAM/Malta Senior Assistant to Head/Deputy Head of Mission (1 position)
- EAM/Malta Assistant to Election Analyst and Media Analyst (1 position)
- EAM/Malta Assistant to Legal Analyst and Campaign Finance Analyst (1 position)
Administrative position:
- EAM/Malta Assistant to Procurement Coordinator (1 position)

Start date of employment: 25-26 May 2017 (approx.)
Approximate duration of employment: 3 weeks (approx.)
Location: Valletta, Malta
Remuneration will depend on qualifications and experience, in accordance with established OSCE rates.
