Rita Izsák-Ndiaye
Rita Izsák-Ndiaye is the Personal Representative on Children and Security. Izsák-Ndiaye has 20 years of experience working with human rights and youth issues in international organizations, having held positions at the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, at the OSCE, and the International Labour Organization, among others. She is currently Expert Member and Rapporteur of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD). In 2020, Izsák-Ndiaye also served as Senior Human Rights Consultant at the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth. From 2011 to 2017, she held the position of UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues.
Izsák-Ndiaye is of Hungarian nationality and holds a Master Degree in Law from the Péter Pázmány Catholic University in Budapest. She speaks Hungarian, English, French and German.
