The Handbook and the Request Writer Tool result from the need to improve international legal co-operation, especially in criminal matters, as an important precondition for the fight against transnational crime, and the difficulties in offering or demanding legal assistance from other countries.
This conference is aimed at judges, prosecutors and other legal professionals who provide legal assistance. It aims at facilitating their work and improving the procedure for providing international legal assistance in criminal matters.
The opening addresses will be given by Branka Lakocevic, Deputy Minister of Justice of Montenegro; the Programme Manager of the Rule of Law and Human Rights of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Sandra Horina; and Francisco Roquette, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative.
