OSCE Mission to Moldova holds third debate tournament for Moldovan youth

The last in a series of three debate tournaments held this autumn by the OSCE Mission to Moldova will involve 35 high school students from different regions of Moldova. Students from Bender, Cahul, Ceadîr-Lunga, Comrat, Taraclia, Tiraspol and Vulcănești will participate in debates in the Karl Popper format. These debate tournaments aim to establish academic debate as a means of promoting civic education and developing critical thinking among young people, while also building confidence among youth from both banks of Nistru/Dniester River.
This debate tournament is organized as part of a three-year project implemented jointly by the OSCE Mission to Moldova and the NGO Piligrim-Demo that aims to establish a mechanism for national minority youth and civil society to engage in political life and public service in Moldova.
