Economic and environmental matters have always been part of the OSCE agenda, reflecting the Organization's comprehensive approach to security.

Economic and environmental matters have always been part of the OSCE agenda, reflecting the Organization's comprehensive approach to security. In November 1997, the participating States agreed on establishing the position of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities within the OSCE Secretariat.
