The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will train members of seven municipal womens' caucuses from the Prishtinë/Priština region in advocacy skills.
The caucuses bring together women with different professional, political, economic, cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds to promote the principle of gender equality in municipal and public institutions.
The aim of the one-day advocacy training is to enable caucuses members to effectively lobby for gender-friendly municipal policies and practices. The training will be delivered in seven municipalities: Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje; Gllogovc/Glogovac; Lipjan/Lipljan; Obiliq/Obilić; Podujevë/Podujevo; Prishtinë/Priština; and Shtime/Štimlje.
In 2010, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo supported the establishment, and initial capacity building, for 17 informal womens' caucuses in municipalities across Prishtinë/Priština and Gjilan/Gnjilane regions.
