Seven members of the Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo, which was created in 2004 with the OSCE support and modelled after the British Civil Service Commission, will meet their UK counterparts in a two-day study visit organized by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
The Board members will meet British civil service and public appointments commissioners and learn about the implementation of the two commissions’ internal regulations and code of ethics.
Kosovo Board members are also scheduled to meet with their British counterparts at the Civil Service Appeal Board, as well as the National School of Government to learn about human resources standards adopted at the UK civil service.
In addition, the Board members will be received by the Parliamentary Select Committee on Public Administration to learn about best practices in reporting and communications between the civil service oversight body and the legislature.
The study visit is part of the Mission’s effort to strengthen the Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo to improve its co-operation with the Assembly of Kosovo.
